How to set the sensor's value color?
Every sensor is outputting some value. We can assign a color to a particular value, to show, if the value is good or bad.
Example: one of our sensors is mounted on a forklift battery and sends the voltage to the portal. We know, that when the battery has more than 50V, the battery is fully charged. When the voltage drops between 50-48V, the battery is slightly discharged, but still fully working. The battery under 48V needs to be charged.
The value should indicate this low value with some warning color, like red, in the Digital Twin app. To do so, follow the instructions below.
Navigate to the Sensors tab,
click the ‘Color Palette' button,
at the top (for the global range setting - all sensors with the selected quantity will inherit the color range),
in the Action column in Quantities for selected sensor (set the ranges only for selected sensor and quantity),
edit the type of value you want to configure with color,
select an operation to perform conditional color formatting,
configure the values and the color change between selected values,
save your changes.
We have selected the Temperature
sensor value. We set up, that when the temperature is over 40 °C, the sensor color formatting will be red. When the temperature is between 39,99 and 30°C, the color formatting will be yellow, and so on. If the temperature is under 30°C, the color formatting will be blue.
Now you can see these changes in your Digital Twin app.
