Platform related
In our workflow, we are using Blender and Unity
What are currently supported 3D file formats?
FBX, OBJ
What are currently supported texture file formats?
JPG, PNG
What is current file size limit?
For 3D file it's 100MB
My model has various animations, will I see them in app?
Currently we don't support animations through automatic platform system. But you can reach to us and solve the issue on individual basis
Do you support skinned and bone structured meshes?
No
Do you support PBR materials?
Early version of Automatic platform system doesn't fully support PBR materials. However you can either embedd textures inside your exported file and they will show up in Twinzo app or you can reach to us and solve the issue on individual basis.
You can learn more in this tutorial: How to embedd Textures into single file
Why my model is flat like without lights or materials/textures?
Your model is flat because your materials/textures are not embedded inside exported file
You can learn more in this tutorial: How to embedd Textures into single file
Your model probably uses special materials that are exclusive to a certain type of software
You probably checked wrong model type during file import process in automatic platform. Please double check your model type and choose from these options:
Classical model: 3D model that was not created using Lidar, photogrammetry or any other similar method
Scanned model: 3D model that was created using Lidar, photogrammetry or any other similar method
Why are my textures wrongly mapped or scaled?
Please check your model UVs and make sure that everything is correct
Why is my model off from size proportions?
Please check your model exported scale. This is a common issue between various CAD software while exporting to a different software like Blender/Unity. Conversion scale is 1 Unit = 1m
Why is my model wrongly rotated in app ?
Please check your model export transform rotation axis. Your model probably is facing other directions that are not suitable. Our app expects the top side of the model to point up at the Z coordinate
Why is sometimes hard to see anything on generated layout?
Please check if anything is blocking the view because we're using a downward-facing camera to create the layout
Why I cannot change or resize layout ?
From previous experiences, changing or resizing layout manually will often lead to many issues like:
Misaligned areas
Precision issues
We decided to disable this feature for automatic platform system. However layout is automatically generated every time model is uploaded. If you made changes on your model, you can upload it again and new changes will be visible on layout, however previously marked areas or data may not match
Why my model is lagging in the app?
This issue relates to various reasons but most common are:
Too much geometry (High polygon count)
Too much individual unique objects (Like 3000+)
Small amount of shared geometry (Instanced meshes)
Too much materials/textures (100+)
Overlapping geometry
Textures and Materials are in unnecessary high resolution (1024 or lower is fine for non Lidar or Scanned based model)

How can I upload multi-story building?
This feature will become soon available. For now you can reach to us and solve the issue on individual basis
Why is taking so long to process my 3D model?
This issue relates to the same reasons described in question 13
My software doesn't allow exporting to none of supported formats, what should I do?
You can reach to us and solve the issue on individual basis
In my 3D software I see my model without issues, but in the Twinzo app there are holes and invisible parts, what should I do?
This issue can be related to Backface culling. This means some parts of your model has a inverted polygon faces or one sided geometry. You can learn more about that in this tutorial:
Double check objects location in your exported 3D model. Some objects may have offset from world center too big like 10KM+. Its recommended to center your 3D model
You mentioned that FBX is supported file format, but when I tried to upload it, I got an error
Make sure that your FBX is Binary and not ASCII. You can learn more about that in this tutorial:
Can I prepare my model for Twinzo app to avoid potential issues?
Yes you absolutely can. Please check this tutorial https://twinzo.atlassian.net/l/cp/22P1iiWA or download our Blender addon which will help you optimize 3D model https://twinzo.atlassian.net/l/cp/qyz4XhjW
