What is a Node?
In the context of an Automated Ordering System, a node is where you specify which participant (or device) sends what type of information or orders, and to whom these are sent. Essentially, it's the configuration space for setting up the communication pathways and transaction rules between senders and receivers.
Example: We have Work roles for Forklift operator and Warehouse operator. The truck full of parts is ready to unload. The warehouse operator would like to send the order: “Unloading the truck“ to the Forklift operator. To do so, we need to set up this Node connection between the work roles inside the Editor.
